2019 Hyundai Veloster at a Glance
Quick Overview
Aggressive in every way, the Veloster has a bold, sporty design with three doors. The base trims have a 147-hp 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, but the upper trims have a turbo upgrade for an extra boost of power. The turbo models (Turbo R-Spec, Turbo, and Turbo Ultimate) also feature sport-tuned suspension, steering, and exhaust for better handling. With a maximum EPA-estimated 34 highway mpg, the Veloster also offers great fuel economy.
Technology Comes Standard
The Veloster 2.0 kicks off the lineup with a full suite of features. It comes standard with a 7” touchscreen display, complete with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™. A Rearview Camera with dynamic guidelines makes it easy to backup and park. When the Veloster is out on the road, Driver Attention Warning (DAW) helps keep drowsy drivers alert while Lane Keep Assist (LKA) helps them stay in their lane.
The base model also offers Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and 17” alloy wheels. The other four trims in the 2019 lineup come with 18” alloy wheels and slightly larger 8” touchscreen displays.
Key Features
More advanced features are available on upgraded trims like the Veloster Turbo, such as a wide sunroof and heated front seats. Other amenities available for this model include:
- Wireless device charging
- Infinity® Premium Audio with 8 speakers
- Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW)
- High Beam Assist (HBA)

The highest trim level, the Turbo Ultimate, takes it further with Smart Cruise Control and a 2-tone roof. It also comes with the innovative Heads-up Display (HUD), which projects important stats right into the driver’s line of sight.
No matter what trim you select, it’s clear the Veloster is designed with the driver in mind.
